Customers booked these flights in good faith and were legally unable to take them due to circumstances entirely outside of their control. </p> <p>“We believe these people should have been offered their money back.”</p> <p>British Airways and Ryanair now have the opportunity to respond to the CMA’s concerns.</p> <p><strong>Scroll down for more on this and today’s other travel headlines.</strong></p> </div> </div> </div> <div class="live-stream js-live-stream component" data-options="{'live_stream_url':'/travel/news/travel-summer-holidays-abroad-news-covid-green-list-restrictions.livestream.json/TIMESTAMP.json','refresh_interval':'30','livestream_enabled':'true'}"> <div class="component-content"> <div class="live-stream__bar"> <div class="live-stream__bar-wrapper"> <p class="live-stream__bar-text">Auto update</p> <p><button class="live-stream__bar-button js-button-is-on"><br /> <span class="live-stream__bar-button-text live-stream__bar-button-on">On</span><br /> <span class="live-stream__bar-button-text live-stream__bar-button-off">Off</span><br /> <span class="live-stream__bar-button-inner"></span><br /> </button> </div> </div> <article itemprop="articleBody" class="live-stream__post-wrapper"> <div class="live-post js-live-post component" id="livepost2" data-timestamp="978"> <div class="component-content live-post__wrapper"> <div class="live-post__wrapper-body"> <a href="https://www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/news/travel-summer-holidays-abroad-news-covid-green-list-restrictions/#update-20210609-0841"><time class="live-post__wrapper-body-timestamp-full" datetime="2021-06-09T08:41:04.039+01:00">8:41AM</time></a></p> <div class="live-post__wrapper-body-article"> <h3 class="live-post__title">‘Shambolic’ Covid rules stop Scottish passengers getting off cruise ship in Scotland</h3> <div class="articleBodyImage section"> <div class="article-body-image component " itemscope="" itemtype="https://schema.org/ImageObject" data-frz-ancestor=""> <div class="component-content"> <figure> <span class="article-body-image-image-container"></p> <div class="lazy-image article-body-image-image " style="padding-top:73.04%;" data-js="LazyImage" data-class="lazy-image__img " data-src="/content/dam/travel/2021/06/09/TELEMMGLPICT000259316696_trans_NvBQzQNjv4BqDhV2K8uQsCbKQWf5axWl7r8vl5lsV6pAygDmdK3MiwM.jpeg" data-srcset="/content/dam/travel/2021/06/09/TELEMMGLPICT000259316696_trans_NvBQzQNjv4BqDhV2K8uQsCbKQWf5axWl7r8vl5lsV6pAygDmdK3MiwM.jpeg 480w,/content/dam/travel/2021/06/09/TELEMMGLPICT000259316696_trans_NvBQzQNjv4BqDhV2K8uQsCbKQWf5axWl7r8vl5lsV6pAygDmdK3MiwM.jpeg?imwidth=960 960w,/content/dam/travel/2021/06/09/TELEMMGLPICT000259316696_trans_NvBQzQNjv4BqDhV2K8uQsCbKQWf5axWl7r8vl5lsV6pAygDmdK3MiwM.jpeg?imwidth=580 580w,/content/dam/travel/2021/06/09/TELEMMGLPICT000259316696_trans_NvBQzQNjv4BqDhV2K8uQsCbKQWf5axWl7r8vl5lsV6pAygDmdK3MiwM.jpeg?imwidth=1160 1160w,/content/dam/travel/2021/06/09/TELEMMGLPICT000259316696_trans_NvBQzQNjv4BqDhV2K8uQsCbKQWf5axWl7r8vl5lsV6pAygDmdK3MiwM.jpeg?imwidth=620 620w,/content/dam/travel/2021/06/09/TELEMMGLPICT000259316696_trans_NvBQzQNjv4BqDhV2K8uQsCbKQWf5axWl7r8vl5lsV6pAygDmdK3MiwM.jpeg?imwidth=1240 1240w" data-sizes="100vw,(min-width: 480px) 480px,(min-width: 730px) 580px,(min-width: 1008px) 620px" data-alt="The MSC Virtuosa has been denied entry into Scotland"> <p><img class="responsive lazy-image__img article-body-image-image" src="https://www.telegraph.co.uk/content/dam/travel/2021/06/09/TELEMMGLPICT000259316696_trans_NvBQzQNjv4BqDhV2K8uQsCbKQWf5axWl7r8vl5lsV6pAygDmdK3MiwM.jpeg" alt="The MSC Virtuosa has been denied entry into Scotland"></p> </div> <p></span><figcaption> <span itemprop="caption" class="article-body-image-caption">The MSC Virtuosa has been denied entry into Scotland</span><br /> <span itemprop="copyrightHolder" class="article-body-image-copyright"><br /> <span class="article-body-image-copyright-label">Credit:</span><br /> Getty<br /> </span><br /> </figcaption></figure> </div> </div> </div> <div class="articleBodyText section"> <div class="article-body-text component "> <div class="component-content"> <p><span class="m_first-letter m_first-letter--flagged">P</span>assengers on a cruise ship touring the UK have been told they will <strong>not be allowed to disembark in Scotland</strong> because of the SNP’s Covid rules.</p> <p>The MSC Virtuosa left Liverpool this week with planned stops in Greenock in Inverclyde, as well as Belfast and Southampton – but it has been denied disembarkation in Scottish ports.
