And while this is commonly known fact about the movie, the reason behind it might not be as well known.</p> <p>During <a href="https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/17860263/david-s-ward-talks-indians-major-league-sequels">an interview with ESPN.com in 2016</a>, writer-director David S. Ward, a Cleveland native, revealed <em>Major League</em> was filmed in Milwaukee because the Cleveland Browns, who shared a stadium with the Indians at the time, had already started preseason football and there were lines on the field making it not look ideal.
